Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Elmowitz earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University, graduating summa cum laude and earning induction into Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest honors society in the United States. He earned his dental degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Cook County Health in Chicago, gaining extensive training in extractions, sedation, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and dental implants. He completed two additional years of training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
